Since 2009, I have been a dedicated volunteer at Belle Vue Speedway, initially contributing my skills as a track photographer.

In 2016, with the establishment of The National Speedway Stadium, I took on a more significant role. Transitioning from behind the lens, I began focusing on the IT systems integral to the smooth functioning of the state-of-the-art sports stadium.

Technical background

When I was around 10 years old, I asked a friend of my parents what he did for a living. He said he was a programmer at IBM. I decided that I wanted to do that too and asked him how. What I now assume could only have been a joke, he gave me a book and a handful of floppy disks. It was everything I needed to get started and I never looked back. Thanks Gary!

Working as a full time developer for my whole career has given me a large amount of experience in several different industries. The intense competition and complexities of financial software in the insurance industry. The crazy high volumes of the world wide betting industry. The heavy weight number crunching in the retail industry and the hardwork behind the health care industry.
